It is a well-built modular light control system with all the necessary frame tubes and connectors to build a 4 x 4 frame and couple it with your choice of diffusion fabric to create flags, diffusion panels, or other light control tools.
This easy-to-use kit is ideal for photographers and filmmakers who travel often and want total control of their lighting.

CLEVER DESIGN
Each tube is 46" long and connects to other tubes effortlessly via self-locking 2d connectors, which keep your frame set intact throughout your shot and thus are easier to remove for quick teardown and setup.
The tubes have hook-and-loop edging on parallel sides for instant placement of your choice of fabric on the frame with corner security tabs to enable mounting even in windy conditions.
And a 3/8"-16 mount is built into the tube for streamlined mounting to your preferred stand or arm.
Note: Cloth diffuser is not included with the Framax Scrim Jim Frame.

  • Do the velcro connections run around the entire edge of the frame, or just on the corners?

    There is velcro all around the edge of the frame.

  • Can standard rags be tied onto this frame easily?

    Yes, any standard Rag can be used as per the frame size.

  • Does this kit include the rags or just the frame?

    It includes the frame only, diffusion fabric is not included.

  • Does this frame set come with a carrying case?

    No, a carrying case is not included.

  • How can I connect these to a C-Stand? What part do I need?

    You can use a regular grip head to connect these to a C-Stand.

  • Do you have any diffusion fabric available to go with this frame?

    As of now, we don’t have diffusion fabric available for sale with this frame, so we recommend using fabric from a third-party brand.

  • Is this frame compatible with Wescott Scrim Jim parts ?

    The recommended accessories shown in the Wescott Scream Jim will fit.
    However, the jointer that is used to connect the frame in our Proaim Framax Scrim Jim Frame (4 x 4') SJ-FRMX-04 will not fit with the Wescott Scream Gym frame.

  • Could 2 kits be joined together to make an 8x8 ?

    No, the Proaim Framax Scrim Jim Frames cannot be joined together to make it 8x8'.
