Note : The counterweight required to balance the jib will be approximately twice the weight of the camera setup. However, if the jib sections are collapsed, it may require fewer counterweights than is usually needed to balance the jib.

Great Jib

I can't say enough for the customer service at Proaim. My first review mentioned that the bag wheels fell apart on me on my first shoot. Proaim reached out and sent me an entire new bag.   • Can the jib be transported easily between locations?

    Yes. It breaks down into compact sections and fits inside the storage bag.

  • Can the jib be adjusted for different shot lengths?

    Yes. The telescoping arm allows adjustment from 6ft to 10ft.

  • Can I use the jib without a remote pan-tilt head?

    Yes. A standard fluid head can be used, though a pan-tilt head or gimbal offers better camera control.

  • Does the jib require counterweights for operation?

    Yes. Counterweights are needed to balance the camera

  • Can the jib be used with DSLR cameras?

    Yes. It supports DSLR cameras.

  • How to install a FREEFLY Toad (Male Adapter), what parts are needed?

    You can use the QR-WV-710, it has the required threaded holes for mounting the Freefly Toad (Male Adapter). You can attach it directly using those mounting points.

  • This looks like a great item. I have a few questions. What tripods would you recommend. What other items do i need. How does one attach the camera to this. Does this unit have any control for the camera orientation (or should you always use it w/a gimbal?

    We recommend using the CST-100-01 stand for the Wave-2 Jib.
    For mounting your camera, the jib supports multiple options including 75mm or 100mm bowl mounts, flat-base mounting, gimbal mounting, fluid-head mounting, and pan–tilt head mounting.

    For camera orientation control, you can use either a dedicated pan–tilt head or a gimbal—both will allow smooth movement and positioning of the camera.

  • "Does the counterweight bar accept standard one-inch barbell weights?"

    Yes the weight bar included with the Proaim Wave-2 is designed to work with standard barbell weights. It will work with 1" + weight sizes.

  • "What is the difference between the proaim 10' wave 2 and the proaim 10' wave 2 plus ?"

    In P-WV-2PL only Jib is included whereas P-WV-2PL-PP (10' wave-2 plus) is a complete package that includes 10' wave-2 Jib, Pan-Tilt Head, CST-100 Tripod stand, Spreader, and Portable Dolly.

  • Does the explorer pro pan tilt head work with the wave-2 jib?

    No, the Explorer pro pan tilt head is not compatible with the wave-2 jib. But you can buy the PT-SR pan tilt head which will be compatible with the wave-2 Jib.

  • Will P-JS work with my Jib?

    The Proaim Heavy-Duty Stand for Camera Jib Crane P-JS will not work with the Proaim 10' Wave-2 Jib Crane P-WV-2PL. The Proaim 100mm Camera Tripod Stand (CST-100-01) will perfectly work with the Proaim 10' Wave-2 Jib Crane P-WV-2PL.

  • What is the size of the central screw used to attach this jib with the tripod stand
