Since the bracket has both ARCA compatible side and base plate, it let you shoot in both landscape and portrait orientations without changing the camera's position.
Also, it gives you full access to all the ports, functions, buttons & doors on the Camera.

Mounting Points
The side plate is extendable and lets you attach a tethering cable and other cables to the camera's side ports.
Also, there are 1/4"-20 threaded holes for attaching additional accessories, such as a small light or microphone, etc.
The base plate inbuilt strap slot lets you add a hand or wrist strap for additional safety and support.
