Great entry into car mounts

This is my first car mount rig, and I think I made the right choice. I use it with a handheld gimbal and have gotten extremely smooth rolling footage so far, even over bumps and around turns. I really like that it has dedicated safety strap holes and the two sets of wire supports. The suction cup is extremely strong and seems reliable so far. Using it on a 110-degree day in Arizona for about 10 minutes didn't cause any issues, but not sure what extended time in the heat would do. Aside from the suction cup itself, the rest of the mount seems very solid - good quality aluminum parts and good craftsmanship on the machining. I think my only gripe is a very minor one: I wish that the quick release mount came with a plate since it's not a standard Arca size. Not really a big deal, but take that into account if you're planning to use the quick release. A couple of notes: I immediately switched to the lighter set of wire supports since my gimbal and camera together are only about 10lbs. However, I may switch back to the heavier supports since larger bumps can still jostle the assembly pretty significantly. I would also caution anyone else experimenting with car mounts not to trust a single screw in the base of your gimbal handle to hold the entire assembly if you're standing it upright. I added support arms to the back of the gimbal where the monitor mount screw is, and I feel much more confident using it at speed.
